Aidan Rafferty (RDG, RaffdaGaff, Evil Twin Brother)
Producer and Composer, making music from an early age and over 20 years’ experience in the recording industry. Aidan grew up surrounded by music in the north west of Ireland, a landscape that has always resonated in his music. Scale and distance and the awe of the wild Atlantic. Aidan plays Piano and Guitar, and will try get a tune out of anything else that might work in a track.
With a qualification in Sound Engineering, Aidan set-up RDG Studios in Dublin in 1998, with Roy Burke and Jay Pidgeon. RDG Studios produced House, Trance, Hard-House, Techno and Hard-Dance with a variety of DJs and Artists, including Alan Pullen, Mark Kavanagh, Jay Pidgeon, Anne Savage, Karl Davis, John Kerrigan and many of Ireland’s busiest Dance Music Artists.
At RDG - Aidan produced Dj mix albums for Anne Savage for Frantic and Ministry of Sound, including ‘Frantic Euphoria’ and ‘Xtreme Euphoria’. RDG produced over 30 commercial releases on labels including – OTR, Kaktai, Nukluez, Toolbox, Fevah, Frantic, BabyDoll, Class A – as well as Aidan’s own labels – Crash Test Records & RaffdaGaff
Since 2008 Aidan has worked on a variety of TV, Film and advertising projects and in 2020 began writing music for his Production Music Library – specifically aimed at the TV, Film & Gaming Industries. Today Aidan is composing in a wide range of genres with recent credits for Channel 4 and TG4.
In 2022 Aidan and long-time collaborator Alan Pullen smashed back into a punishing schedule of Drum and Bass releases – creating KillerBo records and the moniker SUBDUCTION – available now on Spotify & Beatport.
